No VLC Console or Log

Hello,
I've been busy and I've missed some versions of the game so I can't tell when this issue first appeared.
Anyway, the problem is that although I set the VLC Console and VLC Log settings to "Yes" they don't work. Console doesn't appear and there is no vlc-log.txt created.
I tried to create an empty vlc-log.txt myself and after playing a couple of scenes it remained empty. Also I checked the SV Gamelog.txt for any errors/warnings during startup but there was nothing relevant..
VLC Version installed 2.1.5 32bit.
Is it a bug or I am missing something?
