Updating steps

Now that we have an update, what do we need to preserve from our previous version? I can see copying over the Girl Pack and Video folders, but what else (like the saved positions)?

Nothing fancy about it: Just copy all the released files over your old game directory, no need to keep the old stuff. Savegames are stored in /AppData, not in the game directory. They are backwards compatible, so all you need is the new game files.

Including UserSettings.xml? I guess don't overwrite any folder.

You are right, UserSettings.xml is an exception. Do not overwrite this file to keep your old settings. I have to have a word with Tomcat, since the settings are not needed for a release. They will be created with default values if not present.

Edit: Same for Events.xml, if you changed settings for the EventClub location.
