In the log file there is no error message again. I suspect, therefore, that crashes the VLC plugin. Apparently this has to do with the AVI files. I read somwhere else that sometimes windows doesn´t use the DLL in Folders. Maybe you can install the newest VLC player even if you don´t use it. I have the Klite Codec ...

No, the older Abbie pack has the home scenes, the newer does not. You have to combine both packages.
